Pulte and Centex Dominate Florida Real Estate Market

J.D. Power and Associates 2005 New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study rated builders in "30 of the largest U.S. homebuilding markets." The Florida real estate markets that participated include Ft. Myers/Naples, Jacksonville, Orlando, Palm Beach and Tampa. The study surveyed "buyers of newly built, single-family homes who provided feedback after living in their homes for four to 18 months." It then concluded that Pulte Homes and Centex Homes ranked highest in customer satisfaction within the Florida real estate markets.

The study claimed that both builders, whose brands include Del Webb, DiVosta and Fox & Jacobs, "are great examples of builders putting a strong focus on creating relationships with their customers and listening to their needs." In return for such excellent service, new purchasers of their Florida real estate tended to recommend the companies "to nearly twice as many people compared to the average new-home buyer."
