Residents Think It´s Time to Fight Increasing Florida Insurance Rates

As Florida insurance rates continue to rise, it seems like the sky’s the limit when it comes to premiums, and Floridians want some assurance that insurance companies won’t be allowed to completely fleece their customers.

In a letter to the Palm Beach Post, Joseph C. Randazzo of Lake Worth, Florida has written about what many locals must think every time a new increase in Florida insurance rates is announced. In his letter he demands that “Florida’s Legislature focus on rising insurance rates more seriously and that lawmakers brainstorm for some new ideas that could lower rates.”

Randazzo suggested that the best way to find solutions to the problem of escalating Florida insurance rates is by forming workshops and using state university experts to conduct studies and develop innovative and viable ideas. He also insists that that the State Legislature has to enact legislation that will protect Floridians from the insurance industry, “which tends to put a gun to our backs and force its will upon us without being challenged.”
