Not All Florida Housing Markets Are Overpriced

As prices continue to increase, some market watchers are starting to call Florida housing overpriced, but some would argue it´s all relative. Just because some Florida housing markets are overpriced doesn´t mean that they all are. For example, a report by National City Corp. “suggests that Orlando’s housing market may not be as overpriced as some of the other 299 markets it surveyed.”

Other Florida housing markets that were listed as more overpriced than Orlando include Naples, Port St. Lucie, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Palm Bay, Sarasota, Vero Beach, Panama City, Cape Coral and Deltona.

Even though the price of existing Orlando homes has jumper approximately 130 percent over the past five years and the median price is now $245,000, the report rated Orlando housing as overpriced by just 19 percent.
