Florida Real Estate Craze Visible Throughout The State

Florida real estate has been growing at a rapid pace for some time now, especially in major metros like Miami, Tampa and Orlando. The market has become so active, however, that it is even beginning to affect more remote parts of the state.

A reporter for the Okeechobee News, located in Okeechobee, FL, on a small lake in the central part of Florida, explained that housing was skyrocketing there as well. With prices as high as they are in West Palm Beach and elsewhere, people are choosing to sell their coastal Florida homes and buy houses in Okeechobee, where it is cheaper.

The relatively low prices for Florida real estate in Okeechobee aren't making the steep prices increases any easier for local residents to bear, however. Florida real estate is unaffordable for many who live in this area. There is a significant shortage of homes, and very few rental properties available thanks to the sharp up-tick in demand for Florida real estate further away from the high-priced coastal areas.
